MessageWAIGU Flipflops now available at discounted pricesNov 17, '06 5:10 AM
by Jag for everyone
My wife's online business Mybeezwax has just become a distributor of Waigu Flipflops...

we now sell them cheaper than you can get them at the mall, currently we have "the Waigu Limited" collection on stock but you can check their website to choose anything we might not have on stock right now - we'll order it and ship it to you!

check out the photos at http://mybeezwax.multiply.com/photos/album/22

if you're from CSB i can even hand-carry the items for you so you save on shipping costs (w/c isn't that much to begin with )

These are proudly pinoy made and are much prettier than them boring havaianas you've been duped into buying...

From MTV UK's Website:

"Kanye West unleashed an amazing outburst after failing to take home the gong for 'Best Video' for his 'Touch The Sky' promo at the EMAs.

Crashing the stage as friends of the winners Justice V Simian collected their silverwear for 'We Are Your Friends', the hip hop star spat, "F*ck dis! (My video) cost a million dollars, Pamela Anderson was in it, I was jumping across canyons and sh*t! If I don't win, the awards show loses credibility. Nothing against you (J&S), but hell man."

Geez! If the word "Dickhead" was defined in the dictionary, it would have Kanye's picture in it.

Hey Kanye! Want some cheeze with that Whine?

*Update*

Kanye blames "Sippy Sippy" for his outburst. You can get more details here or here.

Right, Kanye. Blame it on the alchohol. But remember the old saying... "In Vino Veritas"

MessageMy play is going to be restagedSep 1, '06 9:31 AM
by joni for everyone
Err, it's not really my play. It's actually my story that's turned into a play. Anyway, it had its successful staging at DLSU Manila last August and apparently, it will be restaged on Sunday, Sept. 3, at 2:30-4pm, at the 27th Manila International Bookfair in World Trade Center, Pasay.

It's called "Kawil" and it has a Tsinoy theme. There's a write-up about the event (right sidebar) here: http://www.panitikan.com.ph/

You can see pictures and discussions on its DLSU staging here (because I bullied my sister into taking pictures: http://thejonastory.multiply.com/photos/album/21

You may also read a little about it here: http://sanapakaininmoko.multiply.com/journal/item/83

and here: http://sanapakaininmoko.multiply.com/journal/item/96

So if you're passing by the bookfair on Sunday, I would really, really appreciate it if you watch. Thanks!

by DidipusRex for everyone
PikPakPeeps,

A whole bunch of us are planning on having breakfast at the Salcedo Park, Salcedo Village Weekend Market tomorrow morning around 9. If the weather permits, we'll be moving to Binondo to have lunch there. Tomorrow will be a day of pigging out on good food and having fun with crazy folks. Come on down!

To spice things up, please bring ANY item you'd like to swap. Taralets, tarataralets!

Why are we doing this? Because we're hungry and it's fun. Think of this as a flash mob. We shall descend on the Salcedo Weekend Market to wreak havoc with our PikPakBum ringtones and strange sensibilities.

We shall see you there!

Love,
Karlo and Lionel

Message[REMINDER] Posting ProcedureJul 28, '06 1:23 AM
by DidipusRex for everyone
Hi there,

Just want to remind the PikPakBums that we've revised post submission procedures to keep the weirdness/interest quotient at PikPakBum as high as possible.

If you come across anything on the Net that's either (1) weird, strange or simply interesting or (2) is Filipino in nature, origin, or location, or better yet is both (1) and (2), then...

send the link in a private message to both acid42 and didipusrex.

If we feel your submission is PikPakBum material, we'll give you the go-ahead to post. If it isn't, fret not. Just find other things to submit.

Thanks,
Acid42 and DidipusRex

MessageAlfredo Lim's "quotable quote"Jul 24, '06 11:11 PM
by Virna for everyone
"The law applies to all. Otherwise, none at all."

Is it just me who thinks this is weird Engrish?

I think it's a literal translation from the Filipino. Something like, "Ang batas ay para sa lahat. Kung hindi, wala na lang." (or something.)

Anyway, if you think it does make sense, let me know. I'm confused.
