Things like this give evidence to evolution --> guys like this should be weeded out of the gene pool, giving room for the more intelligent to breed.

From the Associated Press:

WICHITA, Kan. - A botched kidnapping ended with one of the assailants shooting himself in the groin, Wichita police said. The man had just stuck the gun back into his waistband when it fired, shooting him in the left testicle. He cringed, causing the gun to fire again and strike him in the left calf. When the shooting ended, the 23-year-old man managed to walk himself into the hospital for treatment, police said. He and his two accomplices, ages 18 and 20, were arrested for aggravated attempted kidnapping and conspiracy to obstruct justice. The men were attempting to kidnap a teen in a dispute over stereo speakers, police said.

Damn idiots. That's why there is a safety switch on a gun. If you have no intention of firing the thing, put it on safety!

But if it was a Glock? But still... don't use a gun if you haven't been trained to. I wished he had shot his two testicles though. This would have at least guaranteed that he wouldn't make offspring of the same kind.

A Glock still has a safety mechanism. The hammer just doesn't have the little finger handle for a manual cock (no pun intended). The Glock is considered a semi-automatic weapon.

Really? I understand you can put a shoe behind the trigger or a padlock..but aside from that it's a two stage trigger. Once pulled, bye bye testicle.

From the Glock Website:

The "Safe Action" system consists of three (3) automatic independently operating mechanical safeties which are sequentially disengaged when pulling the trigger and which are automatically re-engaged when releasing the trigger.

Without actuating the trigger it is not possible that a shot is fired.

So, you are correct, if he has his finger on the trigger, sticks his gun into his waistband and constantly pulls on the trigger, then BANG!!! Scambled Eggs. But if he just sticks his gun into the waistband, there should be no reason for the gun to go off.

Either way, he's still an idiot!!

I'm pretty sure he was an idiot and had the finger in the trigger all the time thinking it was the movies. Hehee! Pity really he didn't know out all his jewels.

I remember as a 12 year old this security quard in our office nervously called using the ham radio to alert that there was a fire in the warehouse... with all his tension and nerves he didn't realize he had his finger on the shutgun trigger. *Boom!* lost radio contact. Hahaa!
